60 Series Aluminium Profile
Aluminium Profiles with a 60 x 60 Cross Section for the heaviest loads
60 series profiles utilise a cross section of 60 x 60 mm and its multiples. These profiles are primarily employed in the construction of sizable gantries and machine frames that bear substantial loads—applications typically reserved for steel structures.
60 Series cross section
Primarily composed of a high-quality aluminium alloy, AlMgSi 0.7 F27, these profiles boast excellent stability and rigidity. Their innovative geometry enhances their suitability for applications involving heavy loads, typically reserved for steel constructions. Selecting the appropriate profile depends on the intended use, required load capacity, and design specifications.
The profiles feature a slot width of 14 mm and a slot depth of 19 mm, tailored for DIN M12 screws. However, M6, M8, and M10 screws can also be accommodated. The front centre drill channel with ø = 14.5 mm is designed for the direct tapping of M16 threads and for a self-tapping M12 threaded insert. The outer drill channel with ø = 10.5 mm supports the direct tapping of M12 threads and is compatible with a self-tapping M8 threaded insert or an M10 HELICOIL wire thread insert.
