A belt conveyor is used in almost all industrial applications as soon as piece goods have to be transported without special requirements regarding their location, position or product support geometry. Products of various shapes and dimensions, packaged or unpackaged, light or heavy can be used. In addition to straight routes, courses around curves or on to another level are also possible.

Depending on the conveyor design, total loads of up to 200 kg and speeds of up to 80 m/min are usually possible.
Factors that can influence the burden on the conveyor:
✔️ the weight and dimensions of the product
✔️ the route
✔️ the conveyor width
✔️ the roller diameter
✔️ the type of conveyor belt
✔️ the load bias
✔️ the load distribution
✔️ the operating mode
✔️ the environmental condition

When designing a conveyor, normal environmental conditions in production are assumed. This means indoor use at temperatures of +10° to +60° C, clean environment, usual humidity of 30 – 60% and no condensation or drops. Depending on the belt material, contact temperatures from -30 to 150°C are also possible.

✔️ Like all mk conveyor systems, the belt conveyors are also designed on the basis of mk’s own profile system. So made of aluminium profiles and stability-oriented connection technology with detachable screw connections (standard screws). No welding, cut-off grinding or painting is necessary. This flexibility allows easy conversions and the reusability of the components and thus a maximum service life of the system.

✔️ In addition, the system groove on the two long sides of the belt body offers connection options for attachments such as stands, side guides, initiators, light barriers, stoppers and other accessories.

mk offer an enormous variety of standardised and modular belt conveyors. Over the years, versatile belt conveyor series in every size and weight class have emerged among the straight variants. The perfect conveyor can be configured for almost any cargo, every transport function and every environmental condition. Whether infinitely selectable widths from 50 mm to 2 m or lengths from 300 mm to 20 m, whether loads up to 200 kg or speeds up to 80 m/min – there are almost no limits to the design.

✔️ Small conveyor GUF-P Mini – The smallest series GUF-P Mini is particularly suitable for transporting and separating small parts with low volume and weight. It is available in widths from 75 to 150 mm and lengths from 360 to 5,000 mm. Thanks to its low installation height, the conveyor is ideally suited for use in complex systems with limited space. Since belt return takes place within the belt body, it can be placed directly on the machine bed.

✔️ Versatile belt conveyor GUF-P 2000 – The GUF-P 2000 series is the all-rounder for light and medium-heavy goods based on the mk 2000 profile. It is extremely variable due to its large selection of drives, deflections, stands and belt types. In addition to the low height of 50 mm in conjunction with the drive roller ø 53 mm, a very large number of different belt types are available.

✔️ Robust belt conveyor GUF-P 2041 – The robust GUF-P 2041 series based on the mk 2251 profile was developed for high belt loads up to 150 kg and the transport of wide conveyed goods up to 1200 mm. It uses a drive roller ø 85 mm with particularly good transmission of motor power and offers an almost unlimited selection of different belt types.

✔️ Heavy belt conveyor GUF-P 2004 – The largest series GUF-P 2004 is based on the profile mk 2004 and is driven by a roller ø 105 mm. With total loads of up to 200 kg and corresponding dimensions up to 2,000 mm wide and 20,000 mm long, this torsionally rigid belt body allows the problem-free transport of particularly high loads and bulky goods.
