50 Series Aluminium Profile
Aluminium Profiles with a 50 x 50 Cross Section for Heavy Duty Machine Frames
50 series profiles utilise a cross section of 50 x 50 mm and its multiples. These profiles are commonly employed in the construction of robust machine frames, subjected to significant static loads, and load-bearing structures.
50 series cross section
Primarily composed of a premium aluminium alloy, AlMgSi 0.7 F27, Series 50 construction profiles exhibit exceptional stability and rigidity. Their innovative geometry, coupled with this alloy, makes them particularly well-suited for handling high static loads in machine construction applications. For instance, the mk2011 (100 x 100 mm) profile can effectively replace classical steel construction square tubes with 4 mm walls, providing reduced deflection at a lighter weight. The selection of the appropriate profile hinges on its intended use, required load capacity, and design specifications.
Featuring a slot width of 10 mm and slot depth of 12 mm, these profiles are designed for compatibility with DIN M8 screws, although M4, M5, and M6 screws can also be employed. The outer drill channels of the profile are crafted for tapping threads and accommodating threaded inserts or HELICOIL.
Telescopic profiles complement the Series 50 product range, and specific profile cross sections are available in curved variations.
